Product Overview

This kit raises the Isuzu D-Max by approximately 40mm over standard height, improving ground clearance and vehicle stance. It features Pedders TrakRyder Foam Cell shocks, front coil springs and heavy duty rear leaf springs designed for load carrying and towing applications. Supplementary airbags installed between the rear leaf springs and chassis rails provide additional support when heavily laden, adjustable with an airline for optimal rear height.

The suspension is engineered to improve load capacity compared to the standard rear springs while maintaining ride comfort when unladen. This makes the kit suitable for users with large variations in load, such as tradespeople carrying water tanks that fluctuate from empty to full. It offers a significant improvement for vehicles that sit low at the rear when towing or loaded, without harshening ride quality in unladen use.

Foam Cell Shock Technology

Foam Cell shock absorbers use a special foam saturated with oil instead of relying on pressurised gas. This design prevents aeration and cavitation, keeping damping forces stable across the full stroke. With greater oil capacity and improved heat dissipation, they resist fade, control temperature, and deliver reliable performance even under demanding use. Their durability makes them well suited for heavy-duty, towing and off-road applications.

Installation & Compatibility

The kit includes pre-assembled Foam Cell shocks, springs, supplementary air bags and all necessary hardware such as bushes and U bolts for installation. Installation is bolt-in and straightforward. Wheel alignment is strongly recommended after fitting to optimise vehicle performance and handling.

This kit is suited for vehicles experiencing significant, regular load changes where a soft ride unladen is required but enhanced rear load support is needed. For continuously heavy laden use, Pedders recommends their Extra Heavy Duty kit.
