Product Overview

This kit replaces the weaker springs used in the original self-levelling system, which relied partially on the shock absorber to carry vehicle weight through a hydraulic self-levelling function. When that function fails, the vehicle sits lower due to spring insufficiency. Pedders supplies a matched set of dampers and springs to restore proper ride height and eliminate reliance on the self-levelling shocks.

It is a heavy-duty solution ideal for vehicles regularly towing heavy trailers or carrying heavy loads, improving dampening control under these conditions. The kit is also suitable for both Sorento variants with or without factory-fitted self-levelling suspension. Vehicle height measurements are based on 16 inch wheels but the kit fits irrespective of wheel size.

It fits Sorentos with loop style shock mountings manufactured before June 2007. For later vehicles with pin style mountings, a different kit is required (part number 803205). Installation uses existing OEM hardware, facilitating an easy and straightforward process. A professional wheel alignment is recommended after installation.

This heavy-duty kit is specifically designed for vehicles used in towing or carrying constant heavy loads. For normal transport usage, a softer spring version is available from Pedders (part number 803190).
